A place where tamariki come to explore, play, and learn in a happy and supportive environment.
Our Offerings
We offer higher child-teacher ratios than is recommended by the Ministry of Education which allows us to provide more one-to-one time for your tamariki. We see wonderful development from tamariki when they are given the space to explore and the opportunity to regularly engage with kaiako.
Affordable, quality care
We work with whanau on a case-by-case basis to provide affordable care. We support families to access funding to ensure care and education for their tamariki is achievable. Our Centre is open 7.30 am to 5.30 pm, Monday – Friday to support your family.
Sense of belonging
We celebrate all cultures and nurture the individual needs of your child to provide a positive place where they can be themselves and feel included. Our diverse team allows our centre to be vibrant, all-inclusive and full of joy.
Meals & nappies included
We have our own cook who creates delicious, nutritious meals for your tamariki. To make it easy
for your family, we provide all the kai (morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea) and the nappies.
“The needs of each tamariki guide our routines, rhythms, and rituals, which allows care moments to become our curriculum.”

How Our Rooms Work
Each room has been designed specifically with our children in mind. We want your tamariki to be safe and keen to explore the environment that helps with their early childhood education and development. We have three different areas at our centre for specific age groups, which include:
Nursery
The nursery rooms are a nurturing environment for your pēpē and tamariki. We help them feel comfortable and promote their physical, emotional, and cognitive development
0 - 1 year
Koru room
1 - 2 years
Nikau room
Toddler
The Manawanui room is a loving and supportive space full of hugs, praise, and reassurance. We help tamariki feel heard and encourage perseverance to develop an ‘I can do this’ attitude.
2 years - 3 years
Manawanui room
Preschool
The Aniwaniwa room has the perfect balance of play and development with more challenges as your tamariki grow. We encourage learning and positive relationships with peers and kaiako.
3 years - 6 years
Aniwaniwa room
Everything we do is based on child-readiness. There might be scenarios where your tamariki is ready for the next stage room based on their sleep and mobility. In these cases, we will adapt to their needs and have them join the room that is most suitable for them.
Once our tamariki reach the age of 4½ years we have a specific group mat time that’s all about school readiness. Our kaiako, Larelle has developed this session in conjunction with her strong relationship with Nelson Park School and other local schools.
Pop In And Say Hi
If you’re in Napier we’d love to meet you and your tamariki. Our centre is open for drop-in visits at any time, so pop in and get a feel for the place. Coming to visit us is a great way to see some of our routines, speak to our teachers, and help you make an informed decision about whether we are the right fit for your whanau.
If you’re unable to visit us, please give us a call and we can arrange things over the phone
